Mr. Lenhardt graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara in June of 1970 and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Southern California in 1973. In addition to being admitted in all courts of the State of California, he is admitted before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Lenhardt has obtained favorable verdicts for his clients in over 35 Superior Court jury cases. Many of these successful verdicts have been on behalf of governmental entities, where Mr. Lenhardt defended charges of police brutality, violation of civil rights, wrongful discharge and allegations of dangerous conditions of public property. He has also successfully tried cases involving construction site accidents, product liability, automobile accidents, employment disputes, and general personal injury litigation. In his thirty years of practice, Mr. Lenhardt has been responsible for handling over 1,000 litigated matters.

Mr. Lenhardt is an Associate member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Southern California Defense Counsel, and since 1982 has regularly served as a Judge Pro Tem and arbiter for the Orange County Superior Court. In addition, he has served as an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

Mr. Lenhardt has been on the forefront of police litigation. In Taffolla v. City of Santa Ana, he defeated the allegation that K-9 use constituted deadly force. Mr. Lenhardt is a member of the California Peace Officer Association and has lectured to the L.A. County Police Canine Association. During the course of his legal career, Mr. Lenhardt has represented a majority of public entities in the County of Orange.

David has also defended major Southern California real estate developers and general contractors in construction litigation involving multi-million dollar claims. He has litigated in fields of medical malpractice, attorney malpractice, malicious prosecution, insurance bad faith, and real estate malpractice. Mr. Lenhardt has also been successful in representing various individuals who suffered injury at the hands of others. Several cases have resulted in verdicts or settlements over one million dollars.

Finally, Mr. Lenhardt has been active in his church for over twenty years, serving in several leadership roles. He is a scouter in the Boy Scouts of America, a past member of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Mounted Posse, and past member of the Board of Directors of Seaview Lutheran Home.
